Carrie Megan
After many years working exclusively as a botanical artist, Carrie expanded her focus to take in the broad vistas of nature through the art of landscape painting. That dramatic shift has informed a different approach to how she creates art, challenging her to look beyond the literal and tap into a more visceral way of working.
Through the rich medium of oils, Carrie’s exploration of light and color is an attempt to capture the unique sense of place, time and emotion evoked by each landscape that she paints.
In addition to painting landscapes, Carrie teaches botanical art at Wellesley College Botanic Gardens.
