About the Artist
Alma Ramírez is a contemporary abstract artist from Mexico, currently living and working in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Her artistic process consists of layers of paint studying the harmony in colors, composition and light. Her inspiration comes mainly from nature; water being her favorite element of study. Light has a very important role in her studies of color. Alma's artwork has been exhibited in Mexico and throughout the US.

“I believe feelings can be transmitted through color and composition. There is so much poetry in color alone that I can't resist but try to combine and arrange tones and shapes in different ways, creating or recreating a story. It is impressing to me how much I can share with the world with my pieces, my love for nature, especially the ocean, my journey seeking peace in the waves, the air, the sounds and of course the colors that surround me.”
